Mizan Agricultural TVET College Library System was established as a College Library in 2002. College library system is commissioned to promote the Instructional, Research, and Community Service goals of the entire college through the expert provision of information.

The Library enables the staff and students of Mizan Agricultural TVET College to engage optimally with the changing information environment in order to succeed in their research, teaching, learning and community service goals. In its attempt to achieve the mission and objectives of the College, the Mizan Agricultural TVET College set out deliberately to function the following:

• Developing and managing collections
• Identifying and providing learning resources to instructors, researchers, and students
• Managing available resources efficiently, effectively and economically
• Establishing an environment conducive to study which caters to multiple learning styles
• Liaising with users to establish their needs and cooperating with management and other College services to meet these needs
• Training users and staffs to develop their information exploitation skills for efficient and effective utilization of information resources
• Carrying out appropriate development work in library and information professionalism with the aim of improving the library’s multiple purpose services
• Maintaining effective links with other systems at domestic as well as international level
