Overview
Research and agricultural technology project is one of the offices operating under Vice dean of Technology multiplication and transfer for research and agricultural technology projects with different duties and responsibilities. The office has been executing research and agricultural technology related activities down the year and planning to cascade the national level transformational agenda set by the government, and then college level as well as Zone structure accordingly.
The research and agricultural technology project office under technology multiplication and transfer organize different research and project conferences, forum and panel discussion to disseminate new technology to the community, which is research/project outcomes and would be responsible for proper documentation of research/project outputs, patents, project and report.
Since its commencement in 2022, the research and agricultural technology project office has been committed to excellence in research activities and agricultural technology projects. The research and agricultural technology project office has crafted research agenda/thematic areas which are highly guided by recurrent problems of people in our catchment area, by individual department members’ research interests and projects by sponsors. However, there is a need to strengthen and diversify our thematic areas vis-à-vis the changing needs and demands of our people. While individual scholars would continue to have the freedom to choose topics for research, there is a need to expand the frontiers of knowledge in order to keep with the emerging challenges.
The new research and agricultural technology project office in our college also creates an enabling environment, which strives to promote the college towards being a research, agricultural technology project and community service center. In the research and agricultural technology project office implementing three (3) researchs, three (3) local community training and expansion of technology and one (1) project proposals.
